तस्मिंश च निहते राजन हीनदर्पॊ निराश्रयः भविष्यति निरुत्साहॊ विराट इति मे मतिः ॥ ४-२९-६ ॥
'With his pride shattered and his mainstay lost, I believe King Virata will be dispirited and vulnerable.' ॥ 4-29-6 ॥
english translation
तत्र यात्रा मम मता यदि ते रॊचते ऽनघ कौरवाणां च सर्वेषां कर्णस्य च महात्मनः ॥ ४-२९-७ ॥
'Therefore, if it pleases you, O sinless one, and also the illustrious Karna and all the Kaurava chiefs, let us now march upon that kingdom.' ॥ 4-29-7 ॥
english translation
एतत पराप्तम अहं मन्ये कार्यम आत्ययिकं हितम राष्ट्रं तस्याभियात्व आशु बहु धान्यसमाकुलम ॥ ४-२९-८ ॥
'The incident that has occurred, I believe, has turned out to be advantageous for us. Let us therefore advance upon the kingdom of Virata, which is rich in grain.' ॥ 4-29-8 ॥

आददामॊ ऽसय रत्नानि विविधानि वसूनि च गरामान राष्ट्राणि वा तस्य हरिष्यामॊ विभागशः ॥ ४-२९-९ ॥
'There, we shall seize his treasures—gems and wealth of every kind—and divide among ourselves his villages and dominions.' ॥ 4-29-9 ॥

अथ वा गॊसहस्राणि बहूनि च शुभानि च विविधानि हरिष्यामः परतिपीड्य पुरं बलात ॥ ४-२९-१० ॥
'Or else, let us attack his capital outright and drive away by the thousands his fine cattle of various breeds.' ॥ 4-29-10 ॥
