तस्मिन पुरे जनपदे संजल्पॊ ऽभूच च सर्वशः शौर्याद धि वल्लभॊ राज्ञॊ महासत्त्वश च कीचकः ॥ ४-२४-२ ॥
'Throughout the city and across the provinces, word spread that both the king’s cook Vallava and Kichaka were warriors of extraordinary strength.' ॥ 4-24-2 ॥

tasmina pure janapade saMjalpò 'bhUca ca sarvazaH zauryAda dhi vallabhò rAjJò mahAsattvaza ca kIcakaH ॥ 4-24-2 ॥
