न तत्र पाण्डवा राजन नापि कृष्णा पतिव्रता सर्वथा विप्रनष्टास ते नमस ते भरतर्षभ ।। ४-२४-१६ ।।
'O king, neither the Pandavas nor the virtuous Krishna are present in that city of the Yadavas. O bull of the Bharata race, we have failed to discover either their path or their present location.' ।। 4-24-16 ।।
न हि विद्मॊ गतिं तेषां वासं वापि महात्मनाम पाण्डवानां परवृत्तिं वा विद्मः कर्मापि वा कृतम स नः शाधि मनुष्येन्द्र अत ऊर्ध्वं विशां पते ।। ४-२४-१७ ।।
'Salutations to you, O king. The sons of Pandu have vanished without a trace. We know their nature well, and are not unaware of the feats they are capable of. Therefore, O lord of men, it is for you to instruct us now—tell us what should be done next in our search for them.' ।। 4-24-17 ।।
na hi vidmò gatiM teSAM vAsaM vApi mahAtmanAma pANDavAnAM paravRttiM vA vidmaH karmApi vA kRtama sa naH zAdhi manuSyendra ata UrdhvaM vizAM pate || 4-24-17 ||
'Know that King Matsya’s commander, Kichaka, a man of wicked soul and great power—he who had time and again defeated the Trigartas and crushed them with overwhelming force—has now been slain, along with all his brothers.' ।। 4-24-19 ।।
