'Vaisampayana continued, “Thus delivered by Bhimasena after the slaughter of the Sutas, the intelligent and youthful Krishna, freed from all her fears, bathed her limbs and garments, and made her way toward the city."' ॥ 4-23-11 ॥

तरासितेव मृगी बाला शार्दूलेन मनस्विनी गात्राणि वाससी चैव परक्षाल्य सलिलेन सा ॥ ४-२३-१२ ॥
'Like a timid doe pursued by a fierce tiger, she washed her limbs and robes with gentle care in the water.' ॥ 4-23-12 ॥

तां दृष्ट्वा पुरुषा राजन पराद्रवन्त दिशॊ दश गन्धर्वाणां भयत्रस्ताः के चिद दृष्टीर नयमीलयन ॥ ४-२३-१३ ॥
'Seeing her, the citizens, O king, seized with fear of the Gandharvas, scattered in all directions, and some even shut their eyes in dread.' ॥ 4-23-13 ॥
