शून्यं स नर्तनागारम आगमिष्यति कीचकः एकॊ निशि महाबाहॊ कीचकं तं निषूदय ॥ ४-२१-२६ ॥
'Alone he will come at night to that empty hall. Slay him there, O mighty-armed one.' ॥ 4-21-26 ॥
english translation
तं सूतपुत्रं कौन्तेय कीचकं मददर्पितम गत्वा तवं नर्तनागारं निर्जीवं कुरुपाण्डव ॥ ४-२१-२७ ॥
'Go, O son of Kunti, to the dancing hall and take the life of Kichaka—the son of a Suta, drunk with vanity.' ॥ 4-21-27 ॥
english translation
दर्पाच च सूतपुत्रॊ ऽसौ गन्धर्वान अवमन्यते तं तवं परहरतां शरेष्ठ नडं नाग इवॊद्धर ॥ ४-२१-२८ ॥
'From sheer vanity, that son of a Suta scorns even the Gandharvas. O best of warriors, lift him up from the earth as Krishna once lifted the Naga Kaliya from the Yamuna’s waters.' ॥ 4-21-28 ॥

अश्रुदुःखाभिभूताया मम मार्जस्व भारत आत्मनश चैव भद्रं ते कुरु मानं कुलस्य च ॥ ४-२१-२९ ॥
'O Pandava, burdened as I am with sorrow, wipe away my tears, and may you be blessed—protect both your honor and the honor of your lineage.' ॥ 4-21-29 ॥

[भीमस] सवागतं ते वरारॊहे यन मां वेदयसे परियम न हय अस्य कं चिद इच्छामि सहायं वरवर्णिनि ॥ ४-२१-३० ॥
'Bhima said, "Welcome, O radiant lady! Except for the glad tidings you bring, I require no other aid, O beauty beyond compare."' ॥ 4-21-30 ॥
