उषित्वा पञ्चवर्षाणि सहस्राक्षस्य वेश्मनि दिव्यान्य अस्त्राण्य अवाप्तानि देवरूपेण भास्वता ।। ४-२-१७ ।।

sanskrit

'Arjuna, who dwelt for five years in the radiant abode of the thousand-eyed deity Indra, shining with celestial brilliance, there acquired through his own energy the science of superhuman warfare, along with all the divine weapons.' ।। 4-2-17 ।।

english translation

uSitvA paJcavarSANi sahasrAkSasya vezmani divyAnya astrANya avAptAni devarUpeNa bhAsvatA || 4-2-17 ||
