[वै] इत्य एनां दक्षिणे पाणौ सूतपुत्रः परामृशत सा गृहीता विधुन्वाना भूमाव आक्षिप्य कीचकम सभां शरणम आधावद यत्र राजा युधिष्ठिरः ।। ४-१५-६ ।।

'[Vaiśampāyana said:] Thus did the Sūta’s son grasp her by the right arm. She, violently shaken by his grip, flung Kīcaka to the ground. Then Draupadī fled for refuge to the court, where King Yudhiṣṭhira was seated.' ।। 4-15-6 ।।

english translation

[vai] itya enAM dakSiNe pANau sUtaputraH parAmRzata sA gRhItA vidhunvAnA bhUmAva AkSipya kIcakama sabhAM zaraNama AdhAvada yatra rAjA yudhiSThiraH || 4-15-6 ||

तां कीचकः परधावन्तीं केशपक्षे परामृशत अथैनां पश्यतॊ राज्ञः पातयित्वा पदावधीत ।। ४-१५-७ ।।

'And while she was fleeing at full speed, Kīcaka chased her down, seized her by the hair, and flung her to the ground. Then, in full view of the king, he struck her with his foot.' ।। 4-15-7 ।।

english translation

tAM kIcakaH paradhAvantIM kezapakSe parAmRzata athainAM pazyatò rAjJaH pAtayitvA padAvadhIta || 4-15-7 ||

ततॊ यॊ ऽसौ तदार्केण राक्षसः संनियॊजितः स कीचकम अपॊवाह वातवेगेन भारत ।। ४-१५-८ ।।

'At that moment, O Bharata, the Rākṣasa appointed by Sūrya to guard her hurled Kīcaka back with a force as swift and mighty as the wind.' ।। 4-15-8 ।।

english translation

tatò yò 'sau tadArkeNa rAkSasaH saMniyòjitaH sa kIcakama apòvAha vAtavegena bhArata || 4-15-8 ||

स पपात ततॊ भूमौ रक्षॊबलसमाहतः विघूर्णमानॊ निश्चेष्टश छिन्नमूल इव दरुमः ।। ४-१५-९ ।।

'Overpowered by the Rākṣasa’s might, Kīcaka reeled and collapsed senseless onto the ground, just like a tree uprooted and cast down.' ।। 4-15-9 ।।

तां चासीनौ ददृशतुर भीमसेन युधिष्ठिरौ अमृष्यमाणौ कृष्णायाः कीचकेन पदा वधम ।। ४-१५-१० ।।

'Both Yudhishthira and Bhimasena, seated there, beheld with burning wrath the outrage committed against Draupadī by Kīcaka in Krishna’s presence.' ।। 4-15-10 ।।
