कथं ते सूतपुत्रेण वध्यमानां परियां सतीम मर्षयन्ति यथा कलीबा बलवन्तॊ ऽमितौजसः ।। ४-१५-२१ ।।
'How can those mighty and immensely powerful men, like eunuchs, tolerate their beloved and virtuous wife being assaulted by the son of a charioteer?' ।। 4-15-21 ।।
कव नु तेषाम अमर्षश च वीर्यं तेजश च वर्तते न परीप्सन्ति ये भार्यां वध्यमानां दुरात्मना ।। ४-१५-२२ ।।
'Where is their wrath now? Where is their valor, their fiery spirit—those very qualities for which they are known—when their wife is so cruelly wronged by a vile wretch, and they choose to remain silent?' ।। 4-15-22 ।।
'What can I, a helpless woman, do when King Virata—lacking in virtue—stands by and allows this outrage to happen to one who is innocent?' ।। 4-15-23 ।।
न राजन राजवत किं चित समाचरसि कीचके दस्यूनाम इव धर्मस ते न हि संसदि शॊभते ।। ४-१५-२४ ।।
'You, O king, do not act like a king in your dealings with Kichaka. Your conduct is more that of a thief than a sovereign, and it brings no honour to your court.' ।। 4-15-24 ।।
न कीचकः सवधर्मस्थॊ न च मत्स्यः कथं चन सभा सदॊ ऽपय अधर्मज्ञा य इमं पर्युपासते ।। ४-१५-२५ ।।
'Kichaka does not follow his own rightful duty, nor does the king of the Matsyas in any way. And even the members of this court are ignorant of righteousness, for they continue to serve such a man.' ।। 4-15-25 ।।
