तयजेत सर्वां पृथिवीं समृद्धां; युधिष्ठिरः सत्यम अथॊ न जह्यात उक्तं जितॊ ऽसमीति च पाण्डवेन; तस्मान न शक्नॊमि विवेक्तुम एतत ॥ २-६०-४१ ॥
'Yudhishthira may renounce the entire world filled with wealth, but he will never forsake righteousness. Since the son of Pandu has declared, 'I am defeated,' I find myself unable to resolve this matter.' ॥ 2-60-41 ॥
english translation
tayajeta sarvAM pRthivIM samRddhAM; yudhiSThiraH satyama athò na jahyAta uktaM jitò 'samIti ca pANDavena; tasmAna na zaknòmi vivektuma etata ॥ 2-60-41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदयूते ऽदवितीयः शकुनिर नरेषु; कुन्तीसुतस तेन निसृष्टकामः न मन्यते तां निकृतिं महात्मा; तस्मान न ते परश्नम इमं बरवीमि ॥ २-६०-४२ ॥
'Shakuni has no equal among men in the game of dice. Yet, the son of Kunti willingly staked his wager against him. The illustrious Yudhishthira himself does not view Shakuni's play as deceitful. Therefore, I cannot resolve this matter.' ॥ 2-60-42 ॥

dayUte 'davitIyaH zakunira nareSu; kuntIsutasa tena nisRSTakAmaH na manyate tAM nikRtiM mahAtmA; tasmAna na te paraznama imaM baravImi ॥ 2-60-42 ॥

'Draupadi said, "The king was called to this assembly and, despite having no skill in dice, was forced to play with skilled, deceitful, and unscrupulous gamblers. How can it be said that he staked his possessions voluntarily?"' ॥ 2-60-43 ॥

[da] AhUya rAjA kuzalaiH sabhAyAM; duSTAtmabhira naikRtikaira anAryaiH dayUtapriyaira nAtikRta parayatnaH; kasmAda ayaM nAma nisRSTakAmaH ॥ 2-60-43 ॥

'The chief of the Pandavas was overwhelmed by the wretches of deceitful conduct and unholy instincts who acted together to vanquish him.' ॥ 2-60-44 ॥

sa zuddhabhAvò nikRtipravRttima; abudhyamAnaH kurupANDavAgryaH saMbhUya sarvaiza ca jitò 'pi yasmAta; pazcAca ca yata kaitavama abhyupetaH ॥ 2-60-44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतिष्ठन्ति चेमे कुरवः सभायाम; ईशाः सुतानां च तथा सनुषाणाम समीक्ष्य सर्वे मम चापि वाक्यं; विब्रूत मे परश्नम इमं यथावत ॥ २-६०-४५ ॥
'Unable to comprehend their tricks at the time, he has now come to understand them. Here, in this assembly, are Kurus who are the lords of both their sons and their daughters-in-law. Let all of them, reflecting carefully on my words, make a just decision on the matter I have raised.' ॥ 2-60-45 ॥
