तर्यक्षं चतुर्भुजं शरुत्वा तथा च समुदाहृतम धरण्यां पार्थिवाः सर्वे अभ्यगच्छन दिदृक्षवः ।। २-४०-११ ।।
'Upon hearing about the child’s three eyes and four arms, as well as the words of the invisible Being, all the kings of the earth went to Chedi to see him.' ।। 2-40-11 ।।
एवं राजसहस्राणां पृथक्त्वेन यथाक्रमम शिशुर अङ्के समारूढॊ न तत पराप निदर्शनम ।। २-४०-१३ ।।
'Though the child was placed upon the laps of a thousand kings, one after another, the prophecy of the incorporeal voice did not come to pass.' ।। 2-40-13 ।।
'Upon hearing of these events in Dwarka, the mighty Yadava heroes, Sankarshana and Janardana, went to the capital of the Chedis to see their father’s sister, the Yadavi, the queen of Chedi.' ।। 2-40-14 ।।
अभिवाद्य यथान्यायं यथा जयेष्ठं नृपांश च तान कुशलानामयं पृष्ट्वा निषण्णौ राम केशवौ ।। २-४०-१५ ।।
'Rama and Keshava took their seats after saluting everyone according to their rank, including the king and queen, and inquiring about their well-being.' ।। 2-40-15 ।।
