तान पूजयित्वा संप्राप्तान यथार्हं स महीपतिः एकैकस्य नृपस्याङ्के पुत्रम आरॊपयत तदा ॥ २-४०-१२ ॥
'The king of Chedi, having honored each arriving monarch as befitting, placed his child upon their laps one by one.' ॥ 2-40-12 ॥

tAna pUjayitvA saMprAptAna yathArhaM sa mahIpatiH ekaikasya nRpasyAGke putrama Aròpayata tadA ॥ 2-40-12 ॥
