एवं राजसहस्राणां पृथक्त्वेन यथाक्रमम शिशुर अङ्के समारूढॊ न तत पराप निदर्शनम ॥ २-४०-१३ ॥
'Though the child was placed upon the laps of a thousand kings, one after another, the prophecy of the incorporeal voice did not come to pass.' ॥ 2-40-13 ॥

evaM rAjasahasrANAM pRthaktvena yathAkramama zizura aGke samArUDhò na tata parApa nidarzanama ॥ 2-40-13 ॥
