सौम्यैरयत्नसिद्धं क्रूरैर्यत्नात्फलं समाप्नोति। पापाधियोगजाते विपरीतफलं विनिर्देश्यम्॥६॥
In the case of an Adhiyoga caused by benefics, the effects of the Yoga will come to pass without any effort at all. If the planets forming the Adhiyoga be malefic, the effects will be felt only after great exertion. When the planets causing the Adhiyoga are untoward, only contrary effects should be expected.

saumyairayatnasiddhaM krUrairyatnAtphalaM samApnoti। pApAdhiyogajAte viparItaphalaM vinirdezyam॥6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकष्टं मध्ये श्रेष्ठं भानोः केन्द्रादिसंस्थिते शशिनि। चन्द्रे क्षीणे विफलं सुनफादिफलं न सम्यगायाति॥७॥
According as the Moon occupies a Kendra, a Panapara or an Apoklima house in respect to the Sun, will the resulting Yoga be miserable, medium or best. When the Moon is waning, the effects of Sunapha and other Yogas will not be highly powerful, but will only prove weak and useless.

kaSTaM madhye zreSThaM bhAnoH kendrAdisaMsthite zazini। candre kSINe viphalaM sunaphAdiphalaM na samyagAyAti॥7॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript(अथ केमद्रुमयोगस्तत्फलं च) ऐते योगा न स्युः केन्द्रे ग्रहवर्जिते शशाङ्काद्वा। केमद्रुमाख्ययोगस्तस्मिन् जातो नृपोऽपि भिक्षाशी॥८॥
These Yogas will not operate, should the Moon not occupy a Kendra (or when there are no planets in any of the Kendra houses reckoned from the Moon). Then, the Yoga termed Kemadruma sets in, the effects of which will be that even a king born under it becomes a beggar (a seeker of alms).

(atha kemadrumayogastatphalaM ca) aite yogA na syuH kendre grahavarjite zazAGkAdvA। kemadrumAkhyayogastasmin jAto nRpo'pi bhikSAzI॥8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript(अथ वेसिवास्युभयचरीयोगास्तत्फलानि च) सूर्याद्व्ययगैर्वासिर्वित्तगतैश्चन्द्रवर्जितैर्वेसिः। उभयस्थितैर्ग्रहेन्द्रैरुभयचरी नामको योगः॥९॥
When (3 or more) planets occupy the 12th house from the Sun, the resulting Yoga is called Vasi. If they occupy the 2nd house from the Sun, it is known as Vesi. In the two Yogas above referred to, the Moon is left out of consideration. If planets are posited on both sides (12th and 2nd) from the Sun, the Yoga is Ubhayachari.

(atha vesivAsyubhayacarIyogAstatphalAni ca) sUryAdvyayagairvAsirvittagataizcandravarjitairvesiH। ubhayasthitairgrahendrairubhayacarI nAmako yogaH॥9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमन्दगतिर्मृदुवचनो दीनाक्षो बन्धुवत्सलो धृतिमान्। आयव्ययतुल्यकरो जातः स्याद्वेसियोगेऽस्मिन्॥१०॥
The man born in this Vesiyoga will walk slowly. His speech will be soft; he will have a dejected look. He will be dear to his relations; he will be courageous. In the matter of income and expenditure, he will make both ends meet.
