(अथ वेसिवास्युभयचरीयोगास्तत्फलानि च) सूर्याद्व्ययगैर्वासिर्वित्तगतैश्चन्द्रवर्जितैर्वेसिः। उभयस्थितैर्ग्रहेन्द्रैरुभयचरी नामको योगः॥९॥

When (3 or more) planets occupy the 12th house from the Sun, the resulting Yoga is called Vasi. If they occupy the 2nd house from the Sun, it is known as Vesi. In the two Yogas above referred to, the Moon is left out of consideration. If planets are posited on both sides (12th and 2nd) from the Sun, the Yoga is Ubhayachari.
