जात्यं मनोभवसुखं सुभगस्य सर्वम् आभासमात्रं इतरस्य मनोवियोगात् । चित्तेन भावयति दूरगताअपि यं स्त्री गर्भं बिभर्ति सदृशं पुरुषस्य तस्य ॥ ७५-०१ ॥
A man of agreeable manners enjoys sexual pleasures fully and not so one of a morose nature; for he cannot secure the love of women. A woman, though at a distance, conceives a child of the shape of the person she loves ardently and thinks of at the time.
english translation
jAtyaM manobhavasukhaM subhagasya sarvam AbhAsamAtraM itarasya manoviyogAt । cittena bhAvayati dUragatAapi yaM strI garbhaM bibharti sadRzaM puruSasya tasya ॥ 75-01 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभङ्क्त्वा काण्डं पादपस्यौप्तं उर्व्यां बीजं वाअस्यां नान्यतां एति यद्वत् । एवं ह्यात्मा जायते स्त्रीषु भूयः कश्चित्तस्मिन्क्षेत्रयोगाद्विशेषः ॥ ७५-०२ ॥
Just in the same way as a tree that grows is not different from the parent tree, whether we plant a branch or sow a seed, so the main features of the child partake of the features of its father, though there might be slight changes due to the soil.
english translation
bhaGktvA kANDaM pAdapasyauptaM urvyAM bIjaM vAasyAM nAnyatAM eti yadvat । evaM hyAtmA jAyate strISu bhUyaH kazcittasminkSetrayogAdvizeSaH ॥ 75-02 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआत्मा सहएति मनसा मन इन्द्रियेण स्वार्थेन चैन्द्रियं इति क्रम एष शीघ्रः । योगो अयं एव मनसः किं अगम्यं अस्ति यस्मिन्मनो व्रजति तत्र गतो अयं आत्मा ॥ ७५-०३ ॥
The subtle soul co-operates with the manas (the mind); the mind, co-operates with the senses; the senses, perceive objects; all this takes place in little or no time. The above is the connection between the soul and the objects around us. What is there which the mind cannot comprehend? Therefore, wherever the mind enters, the soul follows it.
english translation
AtmA sahaeti manasA mana indriyeNa svArthena caindriyaM iti krama eSa zIghraH । yogo ayaM eva manasaH kiM agamyaM asti yasminmano vrajati tatra gato ayaM AtmA ॥ 75-03 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआत्माअयं आत्मनि गतो हृदये अतिसूक्ष्मो ग्राह्यो अचलेन मनसा सतताभियोगात् । यो यं विचिन्तयति याति स तन्मयत्वं यस्मादतः सुभगं एव गता युवत्यः ॥ ७५-०४ ॥
The soul being subtle whenever it enters another soul, it requires some time and an effort of the mind to know the latter. The soul which intensely meditates on an object, assumes the shape of that object, and therefore, young women’s thoughts are always directed towards amiable persons.

AtmAayaM Atmani gato hRdaye atisUkSmo grAhyo acalena manasA satatAbhiyogAt । yo yaM vicintayati yAti sa tanmayatvaM yasmAdataH subhagaM eva gatA yuvatyaH ॥ 75-04 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदाक्षिण्यं एकं सुभगत्वहेतुर्विद्वेषणं तद्विपरीतचेष्टा । मन्त्रओषधऽद्यैः कुहकप्रयोगैर्भवन्ति दोषा बहवो न शर्म ॥ ७५-०५ ॥
Real love makes one beloved of others, and hatred makes a person unpopular. There is great sin attaching to attempts at winning the favour of a person by the practice of magic or the use of drugs or by stratagems, and no pleasure can come out of it.
english translation
dAkSiNyaM ekaM subhagatvaheturvidveSaNaM tadviparItaceSTA । mantraoSadha'dyaiH kuhakaprayogairbhavanti doSA bahavo na zarma ॥ 75-05 ॥
