स्थूलं सुशुक्लं सर्वैस्तु विद्याद्व्यामिश्रलक्षणम् शिरोरुजोद्भवं चान्यद्विवर्णं स्पर्शनासहम् ॥ ३१ ॥
becoming thick (sthūlaṃ) and distinctly white (suśuklaṃ); while in that caused by all the doṣas together (sarvaiḥ), one should recognize a combination of all these symptoms (vyāmiśra-lakṣaṇam). Another kind of Palita is caused by a headache which has discoloration and intolerance of touch.
