वातमर्शांसि कुष्ठानि कृमीन् हन्त्युदराणि च । कोपनं कफवातानां दुर्नाम्नां चाविकं दधि ॥७१॥
Curd, which is difficult to digest, destroys diseases caused by Vata, leprosy, worms, and abdominal issues. It aggravates conditions of Kapha and Vata.

In taste and preparation, curd is sweet and has an excess of liquid which is detrimental to doshas. It is a digestive aid, but it is not good for vision and aggravates Vata.

Curd that is dry, warm, and astringent helps in reducing kapha and urinary disorders. It is smooth in digestion, sweet in taste, strengthens the body, nourishes, and is considered heavy.

Curd is the best for eye health, alleviates doshas, and is superior in qualities among various types of curd. It is light in digestion, reduces strength, has a warming effect, and destroys impurities.
