तत्र पैत्तिकं शरदि ग्रीष्मे द्विरह्नो बध्नीयात्, रक्तोपद्रुतमप्येवं; श्लैष्मिकं हेमन्तवसन्तयोस्त्र्यहात् , वातोपद्रुतमप्येवम् | एवमभ्यूह्य बन्धविपर्ययं च कुर्यात् ||२६||

In this context, for Paittika (pitta-related) conditions, bandages should be applied twice a day in the seasons of Sharad (autumn) and Grishma (summer), and similarly for conditions involving blood disorders (Raktopadruta). For Kaphaja (kapha-related) conditions, bandages should be applied every three days during Hemanta (winter) and Vasanta (spring), and similarly for conditions affected by vāta. Accordingly, adjustments in the bandaging regimen should be made depending on the circumstances.

इस संदर्भ में, पित्तदोष के लिए शरद और ग्रीष्म ऋतु में दिन में दो बार बंधन करना चाहिए, और रक्तोपद्रव (रक्त विकार) में भी ऐसा ही करना चाहिए। कफदोष के लिए हेमंत और वसंत ऋतु में प्रत्येक तीन दिन पर बंधन करना चाहिए, और वातोपद्रव (वात विकार) में भी ऐसा ही करना चाहिए। इसी प्रकार, आवश्यकता अनुसार बंधन विधि में बदलाव किया जाना चाहिए।

तत्र, समशिथिलस्थानेषु गाढं बद्धे विकेशिकौषधनैरर्थक्यं शोफवेदनाप्रादुर्भावश्च, गाढसमस्थानेषु शिथिलं बद्धे विकेशिकौषधपतनं पट्टसञ्चाराद्व्रणवर्त्मावघर्षणमिति; गाढशिथिलस्थानेषु समं बद्धे च गुणाभाव इति ||२७||

In areas that require a moderate or loose bandage, if a tight bandage is applied, it leads to improper healing, causing swelling and the onset of pain. Similarly, in areas requiring a tight bandage, if a loose one is applied, the bandage and medicine slip, and the edges of the wound are irritated by the movement of the cloth. In both cases, applying a balanced bandage inappropriately does not bring about the desired benefit.

ऐसे स्थानों पर जहाँ मध्यम या ढीला बंधन चाहिए, यदि कड़ा बंधन किया जाए तो यह उचित उपचार को बाधित करता है, जिससे सूजन और पीड़ा उत्पन्न होती है। इसी प्रकार, जहाँ कड़ा बंधन चाहिए, यदि ढीला बंधन किया जाए तो पट्टी और औषधि गिर जाते हैं, और पट्टी की गति से घाव की किनारों को घर्षण होता है। दोनों ही स्थितियों में सम बंधन का अनुचित उपयोग लाभकारी नहीं होता।

An unbandaged wound is especially aggravated by bites from mosquitoes, grass, wood, stones, dust, cold air, sunlight, and other factors, causing various pains and leading to worsening of the condition. Moreover, the applied ointments and other treatments dry out.

बिना बंधे हुए व्रण को मच्छर, तिनके, लकड़ी, पत्थर, धूल, ठंडी हवा, धूप और अन्य कारकों से विशेष रूप से हानि पहुँचती है, जिससे विभिन्न प्रकार की वेदनाएँ उत्पन्न होती हैं और व्रण की स्थिति खराब हो जाती है। इसके अलावा, लगाए गए लेप आदि भी सूख जाते हैं।
