नेत्रसंवेजनभ्रान्तो वायुश्चान्तः प्रकुप्यति । देहे सङ्कुचिते दत्तः सक्थ्नोरप्युभयोस्तथा ॥२६॥
When the mind is disturbed by the application of the enema, the wind within becomes aggravated, particularly when the body is contracted, affecting both the anus and the rectum.

जब एनिमा के प्रयोग से मन विचलित होता है, तो भीतर की वायु बढ़ जाती है, विशेष रूप से जब शरीर सिकुड़ता है, जिससे गुदा और मलाशय दोनों प्रभावित होते हैं।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptन सम्यगनिलाविष्टो बस्तिः प्रत्येति देहिनः । स्थितस्य बस्तिर्दत्तस्तु क्षिप्रमायात्यवाङ्मुखः ॥२७॥
If the enema is not properly administered to a person, it will not reach its intended destination. However, if the enema is given while the person is in a stationary position, it quickly moves downwards and out of the body.

यदि बस्ती किसी व्यक्ति को सही तरीके से नहीं दी जाती है, तो यह अपने निर्धारित स्थान तक नहीं पहुँचती। लेकिन यदि बस्ती व्यक्ति को स्थिर स्थिति में दी जाती है, तो यह जल्दी से नीचे की ओर और शरीर से बाहर निकल जाती है।

na samyaganilAviSTo bastiH pratyeti dehinaH । sthitasya bastirdattastu kSipramAyAtyavAGmukhaH ॥27॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन चाशयं तर्पयति तस्मान्नार्थकरो हि सः । नाप्नोति बस्तिर्दत्तस्तु कृत्स्नं पक्वाशयं पुनः ॥२८॥
It does not satisfy the intention of the treatment; therefore, it is indeed unproductive. The enema, once administered, does not reach the entire large intestine again.

यह उपचार की मंशा को संतुष्ट नहीं करता; इसलिए, यह वास्तव में अप्रभावी है। एक बार दी गई बस्ती फिर से पूरे बड़े आंत तक नहीं पहुँचती।

na cAzayaM tarpayati tasmAnnArthakaro hi saH । nApnoti bastirdattastu kRtsnaM pakvAzayaM punaH ॥28॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदक्षिणाश्रितपार्श्वस्य वामपार्श्वानुगो यतः । न्युब्जादीनां प्रदानं च बस्तेर्नैव प्रशस्यते ॥२९॥
Since the left side follows the right side, the application of enema (vasti) is not considered proper when it is given to those with conditions like nyubja (constipation) and others.
