प्रवाहिकां वा जनयेत्तनुरल्पगुणावहः । तत्र सान्द्रे तनुं बस्तिं तनौ सान्द्रं च दापयेत् ॥२१॥
One should use a thin enema of low potency to cause a flowing condition (Pravahika). In such cases, a thick and strong enema should be administered.

प्रवाहिका अवस्था उत्पन्न करने के लिए कम शक्ति का पतला एनीमा प्रयोग करना चाहिए। ऐसे मामलों में मोटा और मजबूत एनीमा दिया जाना चाहिए।

A (medicinal) fluid that is excessively dry, thick, or heavy causes stiffness and distension. In such cases, a thin and oily enema should be administered for an excessively dry condition, while a thick and oily enema should be used for a condition that is excessively oily.

एक (औषधीय) तरल पदार्थ जो अत्यधिक सूखा, गाढ़ा या भारी होता है, वह कठोरता और फैलाव का कारण बनता है। ऐसे मामलों में, अत्यधिक शुष्क स्थिति के लिए एक पतला और तैलीय एनीमा दिया जाना चाहिए, जबकि अत्यधिक तैलीय स्थिति के लिए एक मोटा और तैलीय एनीमा का उपयोग किया जाना चाहिए।

When the doshas are excessively agitated, the enema should be administered through the anus with care, ensuring that it is done properly and with attention to detail.

जब दोष अत्यधिक उत्तेजित हो जाएं, तो एनिमा को गुदा के माध्यम से सावधानीपूर्वक दिया जाना चाहिए, तथा यह सुनिश्चित किया जाना चाहिए कि यह ठीक से और बारीकी से किया जाए।

In that case, the upper beneficial enema is soothing for one who is well-prepared and comfortable; however, the enema of a person who is unprepared does not lead to the desired results, as it takes a wrong path.

Here, the wind obstructs the heart and also the bowels; when the pathway is blocked in an upright position, the enema does not enter properly.
