दिशो नभः क्ष्मां विवरान् समुद्रान् लोकान् सपालांस्त्रिदिवं गतः सः । यतो यतो धावति तत्र तत्र सुदर्शनं दुष्प्रसहं ददर्श ॥ ९-४-५१ ॥
Just to protect himself, Durvāsā Muni fled everywhere, in all directions — in the sky, on the surface of the earth, in caves, in the ocean, on different planets of the rulers of the three worlds, and even on the heavenly planets — but wherever he went he immediately saw following him the unbearable fire of the Sudarśana cakra. ॥ 9-4-51 ॥

अपनी रक्षा करने के लिए दुर्वासा मुनि सर्वत्र भागते रहे—वे आकाश, पृथ्वीतल, गुफाओं, समुद्र, तीनों लोकों के शासकों के विभिन्न लोकों तथा स्वर्गलोक में भी गये, किन्तु जहाँ-जहाँ गये वहीं उन्होंने सुदर्शन चक्र की असह्य अग्नि को उनका पीछा करते देखा। ॥ ९-४-५१ ॥

अलब्धनाथः स यदा कुतश्चित् सन्त्रस्तचित्तोऽरणमेषमाणः । देवं विरिञ्चं समगाद्विधातस्त्राह्यात्मयोनेऽजिततेजसो माम् ॥ ९-४-४२ ॥
With a fearful heart, Durvāsā Muni went here and there seeking shelter, but when he could find no shelter, he finally approached Lord Brahmā and said, “O my lord, O Lord Brahmā, kindly protect me from the blazing Sudarśana cakra sent by the Supreme Personality of Godhead.” ॥ 9-4-52 ॥

दुर्वासा मुनि भयभीत मन से इधर उधर शरण खोजते रहे, किन्तु जब उन्हें कोई शरण न मिल सकी तो अन्तत: वे ब्रह्माजी के पास पहुँचे और कहा—हे प्रभु, हे ब्रह्माजी, कृपा करके भगवान् द्वारा भेजे गये इस ज्वलित सुदर्शन चक्र से मेरी रक्षा कीजिये। ॥ ९-४-५२ ॥

ब्रह्मोवाच स्थानं मदीयं सहविश्वमेतत्क्रीडावसाने द्विपरार्धसंज्ञे । भ्रूभङ्गमात्रेण हि सन्दिधक्षोः कालात्मनो यस्य तिरोभविष्यति ॥ ९-४-५३ ॥
Lord Brahmā said: At the end of the dvi-parārdha, when the pastimes of the Lord come to an end, Lord Viṣṇu, by a flick of His eyebrows, vanquishes the entire universe, including our places of residence. ॥ 9-4-53 ॥

ब्रह्माजी ने कहा : द्वि-परार्ध के अन्त में, जब भगवान् की लीलाएँ समाप्त हो जाती हैं तो भगवान् विष्णु अपनी एक भृकुटि के टेढ़ा होने से सारे ब्रह्माण्ड का, जिसमें हमारे निवास स्थान भी सम्मिलित हैं, ॥ ९-४-५३ ॥

अहं भवो दक्षभृगुप्रधानाः प्रजेशभूतेशसुरेशमुख्याः । सर्वे वयं यन्नियमं प्रपन्नाः मूर्ध्न्यर्पितं लोकहितं वहामः ॥ ९-४-५४ ॥
Such personalities as me and Lord Śiva, as well as Dakṣa, Bhṛgu and similar great saints of which they are the head, and also the rulers of the living entities, the rulers of human society and the rulers of the demigods — all of us surrender to that Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Viṣṇu, bowing our heads, to carry out His orders for the benefit of all living entities. ॥ 9-4-54 ॥

विनाश कर देते हैं। मैं तथा शिवजी जैसे पुरुष तथा दक्ष, भृगु इत्यादि प्रधान ऋषिमुनि एवं जीवों के शासक, मानव समाज के शासक एवं देवताओं के शासक, हम सभी उन भगवान् विष्णु को अपने अपने सिर झुकाकर समस्त जीवों के कल्याण हेतु उनके आदेशों का पालन करने के लिए उनकी शरण में जाते हैं। ॥ ९-४-५४ ॥

प्रत्याख्यातो विरिञ्चेन विष्णुचक्रोपतापितः । दुर्वासाः शरणं यातः शर्वं कैलासवासिनम् ॥ ९-४-५५ ॥
When Durvāsā, who was greatly afflicted by the blazing fire of the Sudarśana cakra, was thus refused by Lord Brahmā, he tried to take shelter of Lord Śiva, who always resides on his planet, known as Kailāsa. ॥ 9-4-55 ॥
english translation
जब सुदर्शन चक्र की ज्वलित अग्नि से संतप्त दुर्वासा को ब्रह्माजी ने इस प्रकार मना कर दिया तो उन्होंने कैलास लोक में सदैव निवास करने वाले शिवजी की शरण लेने का प्रयास किया। ॥ ९-४-५५ ॥
