यतो यतो निःसरति मनः कामहतं भ्रमत् । ततस्तत उपाहृत्य हृदि रुन्ध्याच्छनैर्बुधः ॥ ७-१५-३३ ॥
In this way the yogī restricts his mind from material attachments and gives up all mental desires. As soon as the mind, being defeated by lusty desires, drifts toward feelings of sense gratification, the yogī should immediately bring it back and arrest it within the core of his heart. ॥ 7-15-33 ॥

इस प्रकार योगी अपने मन को भौतिक आसक्तियों से रोकता है और सारी मानसिक इच्छाएँ त्याग देता है। ज्योंही मन कामेच्छाओं के वशीभूत होकर इन्द्रियतृप्ति की भावनाओं की ओर हटे त्योंही योगी को उसे तुरन्त वापस लाकर हृदय के भीतर बाँध लेना चाहिए। ॥ ७-१५-३३ ॥
