धर्मबाधो विधर्मः स्यात्परधर्मोऽन्यचोदितः । उपधर्मस्तु पाखण्डो दम्भो वा शब्दभिच्छलः ॥ ७-१५-१३ ॥
Religious principles that obstruct one from following his own religion are called vidharma. Religious principles introduced by others are called para-dharma. A new type of religion created by one who is falsely proud and who opposes the principles of the Vedas is called upadharma. And interpretation by one’s jugglery of words is called chala-dharma. ॥ 7-15-13 ॥

जो धार्मिक नियम किसी को अपना धर्म पालन करने से रोकते हैं विधर्म कहलाते हैं। अन्यों द्वारा चालू किये गये धार्मिक नियम पर-धर्म कहलाते हैं। जो मिथ्या गर्व करता है और वेदों के नियमों का विरोध करता है उसके द्वारा सृजित नये प्रकार का धर्म उपधर्म कहलाता है। शब्द जाल द्वारा विवेचना छल धर्म है। ॥ ७-१५-१३ ॥
