वानप्रस्थस्य वक्ष्यामि नियमान् मुनिसम्मतान् । यानातिष्ठन् मुनिर्गच्छेदृषिलोकमिहाञ्जसा ।। ७-१२-१७ ।।

Text 17: O King, I shall now describe the qualifications for a vānaprastha, one who has retired from family life. By rigidly following the rules and regulations for the vānaprastha, one can easily be elevated to the upper planetary system known as Maharloka. ।। 7-12-17 ।।

english translation

हे राजा, अब मैं वानप्रस्थ की योग्यताओं का वर्णन करूँगा, जो कि पारिवारिक जीवन से विरक्ति है। वानप्रस्थ के विधि-विधानों का कठोरता से पालन करते हुए वह महर्लोक नामक उच्चतर लोक को सरलता से भेजा जा सकता है। ।। ७-१२-१७ ।।
