मतिर्विदूषिता देवैः पतद्भिरसहिष्णुभिः । यो नारदवचस्तथ्यं नाग्राहिषमसत्तमः ।। ४-९-३२ ।।

sanskrit

Since all the demigods who are situated in the higher planetary system will have to come down again, they are all envious of my being elevated to Vaikuṇṭhaloka by devotional service. These intolerant demigods have dissipated my intelligence, and only for this reason could I not accept the genuine benediction of the instructions of Sage Nārada. ।। 4-9-32 ।।

english translation

चूँकि सभी देवताओं को, जो उच्च लोकों में स्थित हैं, फिर से नीचे आना होगा, अत: वे सभी भक्ति द्वारा मेरे विष्णुलोक को प्राप्त करने के प्रति ईर्ष्यालु हैं। इन असहिष्णु देवताओं ने मेरी बुद्धि नष्ट कर दी है और यही एकमात्र कारण है, जिससे मैं नारदमुनि के उपदेशों के आशीर्वाद को स्वीकार नहीं कर सका! ।। ४-९-३२ ।।
