यस्य यद्दैवविहितं स तेन सुखदुःखयोः । आत्मानं तोषयन् देही तमसः पारमृच्छति ।। ४-८-३३ ।।

sanskrit

One should try to keep himself satisfied in any condition of life — whether distress or happiness — which is offered by the supreme will. A person who endures in this way is able to cross over the darkness of nescience very easily. ‌।। 4-8-33 ।।

english translation

मनुष्य को चाहिए कि जीवन की किसी भी अवस्था में, चाहे सुख हो या दुख, जो दैवी इच्छा (भाग्य) द्वारा प्रदत्त है, सन्तुष्ट रहे। जो मनुष्य इस प्रकार टिका रहता है, वह अज्ञान के अंधकार को बहुत सरलता से पार कर लेता है। ।। ४-८-३३ ।।
