त एकदा तु रभसा पुरञ्जनपुरीं नृप । रुरुधुर्भौमभोगाढ्यां जरत्पन्नगपालिताम् ।। ४-२८-२ ।।

sanskrit

Once the dangerous soldiers attacked the city of Purañjana with great force. Although the city was full of paraphernalia for sense gratification, it was being protected by the old serpent. ।। 4-28-2 ।।

english translation

एक बार इन भयानक सैनिकों ने पुरञ्जन-नगरी पर बड़े वेग से आक्रमण किया। यद्यपि यह नगरी भोग की सारी सामग्री से परिपूर्ण थी, किन्तु इसकी रखवाली एक बूढ़ा सर्प कर रहा था। ।। ४-२८-२ ‌‌।।
