त एकदा तु रभसा पुरञ्जनपुरीं नृप । रुरुधुर्भौमभोगाढ्यां जरत्पन्नगपालिताम् ॥ ४-२८-२ ॥

Once the dangerous soldiers attacked the city of Purañjana with great force. Although the city was full of paraphernalia for sense gratification, it was being protected by the old serpent. ॥ 4-28-2 ॥

english translation

एक बार इन भयानक सैनिकों ने पुरञ्जन-नगरी पर बड़े वेग से आक्रमण किया। यद्यपि यह नगरी भोग की सारी सामग्री से परिपूर्ण थी, किन्तु इसकी रखवाली एक बूढ़ा सर्प कर रहा था। ॥ ४-२८-२ ‌‌॥
