तस्यां सन्दह्यमानायां सपौरः सपरिच्छदः । कौटुम्बिकः कुटुम्बिन्या उपातप्यत सान्वयः ॥ ४-२८-१२ ॥

When the city was set ablaze, all the citizens and servants of the King, as well as all family members, sons, grandsons, wives and other relatives, were within the fire. King Purañjana thus became very unhappy. ॥ 4-28-12 ॥

english translation

जब सारी नगरी जलने लगी तो सारे नागरिक तथा राजा के नौकर, उसके परिवार के सदस्य, पुत्र, पौत्र, पत्नियाँ तथा अन्य सम्बन्धी अग्नि की चपेट में आ गये। इस प्रकार राजा पुरञ्जन अत्यन्त दुखी हो गया। ॥ ४-२८-१२ ॥
