Srimad Bhagavatam
प्रसन्नवदनाम्भोजं पद्मगर्भारुणेक्षणम् । नीलोत्पलदलश्यामं शङ्खचक्रगदाधरम् ॥ ३-२८-१३ ॥
The Supreme Personality of Godhead has a cheerful, lotuslike countenance with ruddy eyes like the interior of a lotus, and a swarthy body like the petals of a blue lotus. He bears a conch, discus and mace in three of His hands. ॥ 3-28-13 ॥
english translation
भगवान् का मुख उत्फुल्ल कमल के समान है और लाल लाल आँखें कमल के कोश (भीतरी भाग) के समान हैं। उनका श्यामल शरीर नील कमल की पंखडिय़ों के समान है। वे अपने तीन हाथों में शङ्ख, चक्र तथा गदा धारण किये हैं। ॥ ३-२८-१३ ॥
