इन्द्रियाणि दश श्रोत्रं त्वग् दृग्रसननासिकाः । वाक्करौ चरणौ मेढ्रं पायुर्दशम उच्यते ।। ३-२६-१३ ।।

sanskrit

The senses for acquiring knowledge and the organs for action number ten, namely the auditory sense, the sense of taste, the tactile sense, the sense of sight, the sense of smell, and the active organs for speaking, working, traveling, generating and evacuating. ।। 3-26-13 ।।

english translation

ज्ञानेन्द्रियों तथा कर्मेन्द्रियों को मिलाकर इनकी संख्या दस है। ये हैं—श्रवणेन्द्रिय, स्वादेन्द्रिय, स्पर्शेन्द्रिय दृश्येन्द्रिय, घ्राणेन्द्रिय, वागेन्द्रिय, कार्य करने की इन्द्रियाँ, चलने की इन्द्रियाँ, जननेन्द्रियाँ तथा मलत्याग इन्द्रियाँ। ।। ३-२६-१३ ।।
