अर्वाक्स्रोतस्तु नवमः क्षत्तरेकविधो नृणाम् । रजोऽधिकाः कर्मपरा दुःखे च सुखमानिनः ।। ३-१०-२५ ।।

sanskrit

The creation of the human beings, who are of one species only and who stock their eatables in the belly, is the ninth in the rotation. In the human race, the mode of passion is very prominent. Humans are always busy in the midst of miserable life, but they think themselves happy in all respects. ।। 3-10-25 ।।

english translation

मनुष्यों की सृष्टि क्रमानुसार नौवीं है। यही केवल एक ही योनि (जाति) ऐसी है और अपना आहार उदर में संचित करते हैं। मानव जाति में रजोगुण की प्रधानता होती है। मनुष्यग दुखीजीवन में भी सदैव व्यस्त रहते हैं, किन्तु वे अपने को सभी प्रकार से सुखी समझते हैं। ।। ३-१०-२५ ।।
