राजोवाच भगवन्तं हरिं प्रायो न भजन्त्यात्मवित्तमाः । तेषामशान्तकामानां का निष्ठाविजितात्मनाम् ।। ११-५-१ ।।

sanskrit

King Nimi further inquired: My dear Yogendras, all of you are most perfect in knowledge of the science of the self. Therefore, kindly explain to me the destination of those who for the most part never worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, who are unable to quench their material desires and who are not in control of their own selves. ।। 11-5-1 ।।

राजा निमि ने आगे पूछा: मेरे प्रिय योगेन्द्र, आप सभी आत्म विज्ञान के ज्ञान में सबसे निपुण हैं। इसलिए, कृपया मुझे उन लोगों के गंतव्य के बारे में बताएं जो अधिकांशतः भगवान हरि की पूजा नहीं करते हैं, जो अपनी भौतिक इच्छाओं को संतुष्ट करने में असमर्थ हैं और जो अपने आप पर नियंत्रण में नहीं हैं। ।। ११-५-१ ।।

चमस उवाच मुखबाहूरुपादेभ्यः पुरुषस्याश्रमैः सह । चत्वारो जज्ञिरे वर्णा गुणैर्विप्रादयः पृथक् ।। ११-५-२ ।।

Śrī Camasa said: Each of the four social orders, headed by the brāhmaṇas, was born through different combinations of the modes of nature, from the face, arms, thighs and feet of the Supreme Lord in His universal form. Thus the four spiritual orders were also generated. ।। 11-5-2 ।।

english translation

श्री कैमासा ने कहा: ब्राह्मणों के नेतृत्व वाले चार सामाजिक समूहों में से प्रत्येक का जन्म उनके सार्वभौमिक रूप में सर्वोच्च भगवान के चेहरे, बाहों, जांघों और पैरों से प्रकृति के गुणों के विभिन्न संयोजनों के माध्यम से हुआ था। इस प्रकार चार आध्यात्मिक आदेश भी उत्पन्न हुए। ।। ११-५-२ ।।

य एषां पुरुषं साक्षादात्मप्रभवमीश्वरम् । न भजन्त्यवजानन्ति स्थानाद्भ्रष्टाः पतन्त्यधः ।। ११-५-३ ।।

sanskrit

If any of the members of the four varṇas and four āśramas fail to worship or intentionally disrespect the Personality of Godhead, who is the source of their own creation, they will fall down from their position into a hellish state of life. ।। 11-5-3 ।।

english translation

यदि चार वर्णों और चार आश्रमों के सदस्यों में से कोई भी भगवान की पूजा करने में विफल रहता है या जानबूझकर उनका अनादर करता है, जो उनकी अपनी रचना का स्रोत है, तो वे अपने पद से गिरकर जीवन की नारकीय स्थिति में पहुंच जाएंगे। ।। ११-५-३ ।।

दूरे हरिकथाः केचिद्दूरे चाच्युतकीर्तनाः । स्त्रियः शूद्रादयश्चैव तेऽनुकम्प्या भवादृशाम् ।। ११-५-४ ।।

There are many persons who have little opportunity to take part in discussions about the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Hari, and thus it is difficult for them to chant His infallible glories. Persons such as women, śūdras and other fallen classes always deserve the mercy of great personalities like yourself. ।। 11-5-4 ।।

english translation

ऐसे कई व्यक्ति हैं जिन्हें भगवान हरि के बारे में चर्चा में भाग लेने का बहुत कम अवसर मिलता है, और इस प्रकार उनके लिए उनकी अचूक महिमा का गान करना कठिन होता है। स्त्रियाँ, शूद्र तथा अन्य पतित वर्ग के व्यक्ति सदैव आप जैसे महान व्यक्तियों की दया के पात्र होते हैं। ।। ११-५-४ ।।

विप्रो राजन्यवैश्यौ च हरेः प्राप्ताः पदान्तिकम् । श्रौतेन जन्मनाथापि मुह्यन्त्याम्नायवादिनः ।। ११-५-५ ।।

On the other hand, brāhmaṇas, members of the royal order and vaiśyas, even after being allowed to approach the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord, Hari, by receiving the second birth of Vedic initiation, can become bewildered and adopt various materialistic philosophies. ।। 11-5-5 ।।

english translation

दूसरी ओर, ब्राह्मण, शाही आदेश के सदस्य और वैश्य, वैदिक दीक्षा का दूसरा जन्म प्राप्त करके, सर्वोच्च भगवान हरि के कमल चरणों के पास जाने की अनुमति मिलने के बाद भी, भ्रमित हो सकते हैं और विभिन्न भौतिकवादी दर्शन अपना सकते हैं। ।। ११-५-५ ।।
