प्राणांश्च विजहुस्तत्र भगवद्विरहातुराः । उपगुह्य पतींस्तात चितामारुरुहुः स्त्रियः ॥ ११-३१-१९ ॥
Tormented by separation from the Lord, His parents gave up their lives at that very spot. My dear Parīkṣit, the wives of the Yādavas then climbed onto the funeral pyres, embracing their dead husbands. ॥ 11-31-19 ॥

भगवान से वियोग से व्यथित होकर उनके माता-पिता ने उसी स्थान पर अपने प्राण त्याग दिये। मेरे प्रिय परीक्षित, यादवों की पत्नियाँ अपने मृत पतियों को गले लगाते हुए, अंतिम संस्कार की चिता पर चढ़ गईं। ॥ ११-३१-१९ ॥
