तत्र स्म त्वरिता जग्मुः कृष्णविश्लेषविह्वलाः । व्यसवः शेरते यत्र ज्ञातयो घ्नन्त आननम् ॥ ११-३१-१७ ॥
Feeling the overwhelming pain of separation from Kṛṣṇa, they struck their own faces while hurrying to the place where their relatives lay dead. ॥ 11-31-17 ॥

कृष्ण से अलग होने की अत्यधिक पीड़ा को महसूस करते हुए, वे उस स्थान की ओर भागते समय अपने चेहरे पर चोट करने लगे, जहां उनके रिश्तेदार मृत पड़े थे। ॥ ११-३१-१७ ॥
