कथयामास निधनं वृष्णीनां कृत्स्नशो नृप । तच्छ्रुत्वोद्विग्नहृदया जनाः शोकविर्मूर्च्छिताः ॥ ११-३१-१६ ॥
Dāruka delivered the account of the total destruction of the Vṛṣṇis, and upon hearing this, O Parīkṣit, the people became deeply distraught in their hearts and stunned with sorrow. ॥ 11-31-16 ॥

दारुक ने वृष्णियों के संपूर्ण विनाश का वृत्तांत सुनाया, और हे परीक्षित, यह सुनकर लोग अपने दिलों में गहराई से व्याकुल हो गए और दुःख से स्तब्ध हो गए। ॥ ११-३१-१६ ॥
