कृतन्यासः कृतन्यासां मदर्चां पाणिना मृजेत् । कलशं प्रोक्षणीयं च यथावदुपसाधयेत् ॥ ११-२७-२० ॥
The devotee should sanctify the various parts of his body by touching them and chanting mantras. He should do the same for My Deity form, and then with his hands he should clean the Deity of old flowers and the remnants of previous offerings. He should properly prepare the sacred pot and the vessel containing water for sprinkling. ॥ 11-27-20 ॥
english translation
भक्त को अपने शरीर के विभिन्न अंगों को स्पर्श करके तथा मंत्रों का जाप करके पवित्र करना चाहिए। उसे मेरे विग्रह रूप के लिए भी ऐसा ही करना चाहिए, और फिर अपने हाथों से विग्रह को पुराने फूलों और पिछले चढ़ावे के अवशेषों से साफ करना चाहिए। उसे पवित्र पात्र और छिड़कने के लिए जल वाले पात्र को ठीक से तैयार करना चाहिए। ॥ ११-२७-२० ॥
