सीदच्चित्तं विलीयेत चेतसो ग्रहणेऽक्षमम् । मनो नष्टं तमो ग्लानिस्तमस्तदुपधारय ।। ११-२५-१८ ।।

sanskrit

When one’s higher awareness fails and finally disappears and one is thus unable to concentrate his attention, his mind is ruined and manifests ignorance and depression. You should understand this situation to be the predominance of the mode of ignorance. ।। 11-25-18 ।।

english translation

जब किसी की उच्च जागरूकता विफल हो जाती है और अंततः गायब हो जाती है और इस प्रकार वह अपना ध्यान केंद्रित करने में असमर्थ हो जाता है, तो उसका दिमाग बर्बाद हो जाता है और अज्ञानता और अवसाद प्रकट होता है। आपको इस स्थिति को तमोगुण की प्रधानता समझना चाहिए। ।। ११-२५-१८ ।।
