न केनचित्क्वापि कथञ्चनास्य द्वन्द्वोपरागः परतः परस्य । यथाहमः संसृतिरूपिणः स्यात् एवं प्रबुद्धो न बिभेति भूतैः ।। ११-२३-५७ ।।

The false ego gives shape to illusory material existence and thus experiences material happiness and distress. The spirit soul, however, is transcendental to material nature; he can never actually be affected by material happiness and distress in any place, under any circumstance or by the agency of any person. A person who understands this has nothing whatsoever to fear from the material creation. ।। 11-23-57 ।।

english translation

मिथ्या अहंकार भ्रामक भौतिक अस्तित्व को आकार देता है और इस प्रकार भौतिक सुख और संकट का अनुभव करता है। हालाँकि, आत्मा भौतिक प्रकृति से परे है; वह वास्तव में कभी भी, किसी भी स्थान पर, किसी भी परिस्थिति में या किसी व्यक्ति की एजेंसी द्वारा भौतिक सुख और संकट से प्रभावित नहीं हो सकता है। जो व्यक्ति इसे समझता है उसे भौतिक सृष्टि से डरने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। ।। ११-२३-५७ ।।
