एवंव्रतः स्वप्रियनामकीर्त्या जातानुरागो द्रुतचित्त उच्चैः । हसत्यथो रोदिति रौति गायत्युन्मादवन्नृत्यति लोकबाह्यः ।। ११-२-४० ।।

By chanting the holy name of the Supreme Lord, one comes to the stage of love of Godhead. Then the devotee is fixed in his vow as an eternal servant of the Lord, and he gradually becomes very much attached to a particular name and form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. As his heart melts with ecstatic love, he laughs very loudly or cries or shouts. Sometimes he sings and dances like a madman, for he is indifferent to public opinion. ।। 11-2-40 ।।

english translation

परमेश्वर के पवित्र नाम का जाप करने से, व्यक्ति भगवत्प्रेम की अवस्था में आ जाता है। तब भक्त भगवान के शाश्वत सेवक के रूप में अपने व्रत में स्थिर हो जाता है, और वह धीरे-धीरे भगवान के एक विशेष नाम और रूप से बहुत अधिक जुड़ जाता है। जैसे ही उसका हृदय परम प्रेम से पिघलता है, वह बहुत जोर से हंसता है या रोता है या चिल्लाता है। कभी-कभी वह पागलों की तरह गाता और नाचता है, क्योंकि वह जनता की राय के प्रति उदासीन है। ।। ११-२-४० ।।
