यावदस्यास्वतन्त्रत्वं तावदीश्वरतो भयम् । य एतत्समुपासीरंस्ते मुह्यन्ति शुचार्पिताः ।। ११-१०-३३ ।।

sanskrit

The conditioned soul who remains dependent on fruitive activities under the material modes of nature will continue to fear Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, since I impose the results of one’s fruitive activities. Those who accept the material concept of life, taking the variegatedness of the modes of nature to be factual, devote themselves to material enjoyment and are therefore always absorbed in lamentation and grief. ।। 11-10-33 ।।

english translation

जो बद्ध आत्मा प्रकृति के भौतिक गुणों के अधीन सकाम गतिविधियों पर निर्भर रहती है, वह मुझसे, भगवान के परम व्यक्तित्व से डरती रहेगी, क्योंकि मैं किसी की सकाम गतिविधियों के परिणामों को थोपता हूँ। जो लोग जीवन की भौतिक अवधारणा को स्वीकार करते हैं, प्रकृति के गुणों की विविधता को तथ्यात्मक मानते हैं, वे स्वयं को भौतिक आनंद के लिए समर्पित करते हैं और इसलिए हमेशा विलाप और शोक में डूबे रहते हैं। ।। ११-१०-३३ ।।
