कर्माणि पुण्यनिवहानि सुमङ्गलानि गायज्जगत्कलिमलापहराणि कृत्वा । कालात्मना निवसता यदुदेवगेहे पिण्डारकं समगमन्मुनयो निसृष्टाः ॥ ११-१-११ ॥
The sages Viśvāmitra, Asita, Kaṇva, Durvāsā, Bhṛgu, Aṅgirā, Kaśyapa, Vāmadeva, Atri and Vasiṣṭha, along with Nārada and others, once performed fruitive rituals that award abundant pious results, bring great happiness and take away the sins of Kali-yuga for the whole world by merely being recounted. ॥ 11-1-11 ॥

ऋषि विश्वामित्र, असित, कण्व, दुर्वासा, भृगु, अंगिरा, कश्यप, वामदेव, अत्रि और वशिष्ठ, नारद और अन्य लोगों के साथ, एक बार फलदायी अनुष्ठान किए जो प्रचुर पवित्र परिणाम देते हैं, बहुत खुशी लाते हैं और कलियुग के पापों को दूर करते हैं। पूरी दुनिया के लिए केवल पुनर्गणना मात्र से। ॥ ११-१-११ ॥

विश्वामित्रोऽसितः कण्वो दुर्वासा भृगुरङ्गिराः । कश्यपो वामदेवोऽत्रिर्वसिष्ठो नारदादयः ॥ ११-१-१२ ॥
The sages duly executed these rituals in the home of the chief of the Yadus, Vasudeva, the father of Lord Kṛṣṇa. After Lord Kṛṣṇa, who was staying in Vasudeva’s house as time personified, respectfully sent the sages off at the conclusion of the ceremonies, they went to the holy place called Piṇḍāraka. ॥ 11-1-12 ॥

ऋषियों ने यदुओं के मुखिया, भगवान कृष्ण के पिता, वासुदेव के घर में इन अनुष्ठानों को विधिवत निष्पादित किया। भगवान कृष्ण, जो समय के अवतार के रूप में वासुदेव के घर में रह रहे थे, ने अनुष्ठान के समापन पर ऋषियों को सम्मानपूर्वक विदा किया, वे पिंडारक नामक पवित्र स्थान पर गए। ॥ ११-१-१२ ॥

To that holy place, Playfully approaching the great sages gathered there, the boys grabbed hold of the sages’ feet and impudently asked them with feigned humility, “O learned brāhmaṇas, ॥ 11-1-13 ॥

उस पवित्र स्थान पर, खेल-खेल में वहां एकत्रित महान ऋषियों के पास जाकर, लड़कों ने ऋषियों के पैर पकड़ लिए और निर्लज्जतापूर्वक उनसे नकली विनम्रता के साथ पूछा, "हे विद्वान ब्राह्मणों, ॥ ११-१-१३ ॥

ते वेषयित्वा स्त्रीवेषैः साम्बं जाम्बवतीसुतम् । एषा पृच्छति वो विप्रा अन्तर्वत्न्यसितेक्षणा ॥ ११-१-१४ ॥
the young boys of the Yadu dynasty had brought Sāmba, son of Jāmbavatī, dressed in woman’s garb. this black-eyed pregnant woman has something to ask you. She is too embarrassed to inquire for herself. ॥ 11-1-14 ॥

यदु वंश के युवा लड़के जाम्बवती के पुत्र साम्ब को स्त्री के वेश में लाये थे। इस काली आंखों वाली गर्भवती महिला को आपसे कुछ पूछना है। वह अपने बारे में पूछताछ करने में बहुत शर्मिंदा है। ॥ ११-१-१४ ॥

प्रष्टुं विलज्जती साक्षात्प्रब्रूतामोघदर्शनाः । प्रसोष्यन्ती पुत्रकामा किं स्वित्सञ्जनयिष्यति ॥ ११-१-१५ ॥
She is just about to give birth and is very desirous of having a son. Since all of you are great sages with infallible vision, please tell us whether her child will be a boy or a girl. ॥ 11-1-15 ॥

वह अभी बच्चे को जन्म देने वाली है और बेटे को जन्म देने की बहुत इच्छुक है। चूँकि आप सभी अचूक दृष्टि वाले महान ऋषि हैं, कृपया हमें बताएं कि उसकी संतान लड़का होगी या लड़की। ॥ ११-१-१५ ॥
