तं दृष्ट्वा न पुनर्जन्म लभ्यते मानवैर्भुवि ।। सोयमायाति भगवांस्त्र्यम्बकश्शशिभूषणः ।। १६।।

On seeing him men do not obtain a rebirth in the world. Such a lord the moon-crested Tryambaka comes here.

english translation

taM dRSTvA na punarjanma labhyate mAnavairbhuvi || soyamAyAti bhagavAMstryambakazzazibhUSaNaH || 16||

पुण्डरीकदलायामे धन्ये मेऽद्य विलोचने ।। यद्दृश्यते महादेवो ह्याभ्यां लक्ष्मि महेश्वरः ।। १७ ।।

O Lakṣmī, blessed indeed are my eyes as wide as the petals of a lotus, since by them the great god lord Śiva is seen.

english translation

puNDarIkadalAyAme dhanye me'dya vilocane || yaddRzyate mahAdevo hyAbhyAM lakSmi mahezvaraH || 17 ||

धिग्धिक्पदन्तु देवानां परं दृष्ट्वा न शंकरम् ।। लभ्यते यत्र निर्वाणं सर्व दुःखान्तकृत्तु यत् ।। १८ ।।

Fie upon the position of the gods where emancipation is not obtained, but on seeing Śiva it is obtained and it puts an end to all miseries.

dhigdhikpadantu devAnAM paraM dRSTvA na zaMkaram || labhyate yatra nirvANaM sarva duHkhAntakRttu yat || 18 ||

देवत्वादशुभं किञ्चिद्देवलोके न विद्यते ।। दृष्ट्वापि सर्वे देवेशं यन्मुक्तिन्न लभामहे ।। १९ ।।

There is nothing more inauspicious than the state of the gods in the heaven that here even after seeing the lord of the gods all of us do not obtain salvation.

english translation

devatvAdazubhaM kiJciddevaloke na vidyate || dRSTvApi sarve devezaM yanmuktinna labhAmahe || 19 ||

एवमुक्त्वा हृषीकेशस्संप्रहृष्टतनूरुहः ।। प्रणिपत्य महादेवमिदमाह वृषध्वजम् ।। २० ।।

Nandīśvara said:— After saying this, Viṣṇu bowed to the great lord with the thrill of delight through pleasure and spoke this to the bull-bannered deity?
