अमरो जरया त्यक्तोऽदुःखी गणपतिः सदा ॥ अव्ययश्चाक्षयश्चेष्टः स पिता स सुहृज्जनः ॥ ११ ॥
You will be free from death and old age. You will not be unhappy. You will for ever be the leader of the Gaṇas. You will be unchanging and unwasting. You will be loved by all in the company of your father and friends.
english translation
amaro jarayA tyakto'duHkhI gaNapatiH sadA ॥ avyayazcAkSayazceSTaH sa pitA sa suhRjjanaH ॥ 11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमद्बलः पार्श्वगो नित्यं ममेष्टो भवितानिशम् ॥ न जरा जन्म मृत्युर्वै मत्प्रसादाद्भविष्यति ॥ १२ ॥
You will gain strength from me. You will always be at my sides. You will be for ever my favourite. Due to my favour you will have neither birth, nor death, nor old age.
english translation
madbalaH pArzvago nityaM mameSTo bhavitAnizam ॥ na jarA janma mRtyurvai matprasAdAdbhaviSyati ॥ 12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनन्दीश्वर उवाच ॥ एवमुक्त्वा शिरोमालां कुशेशयमयीं निजाम्॥ समुन्मुच्य बबन्धाशु मम कण्ठे कृपानिधिः॥ १३॥
Nandīśvara said:— After saying thus, the store-house of mercy took off his own lotus-garland round his head and tied it round my neck immediately.
english translation
nandIzvara uvAca ॥ evamuktvA ziromAlAM kuzezayamayIM nijAm॥ samunmucya babandhAzu mama kaNThe kRpAnidhiH॥ 13॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतयाहं मालया विप्र शुभया कण्ठसक्तया॥। त्र्यक्षो दशभुजश्चासं द्वितीय इव शङ्कर॥ १४॥
O brahmin, as soon as that garland adorned my neck I became three-eyed and ten-armed like a second Śiva.
english translation
tayAhaM mAlayA vipra zubhayA kaNThasaktayA॥। tryakSo dazabhujazcAsaM dvitIya iva zaGkara॥ 14॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत एव समादाय हस्तेन परमेश्वरः॥ उवाच ब्रूहि किं तेऽद्य ददामि वरमुत्तमम्॥ १५॥
Then, taking me by the hand, lord Śiva said—“Tell me, what excellent boon shall I grant you?”
english translation
tata eva samAdAya hastena paramezvaraH॥ uvAca brUhi kiM te'dya dadAmi varamuttamam॥ 15॥
