निर्मांसरुधिर त्वग्वै बिले तस्मिन्नवस्थितः ॥ अस्थिशेषोभवत्पश्चाच्छिलादो मुनिसत्तमः ॥ २१ ॥
The skin without flesh and blood remained in the cave The remains of the bones were later recovered by the great sage Shilada.
english translation
nirmAMsarudhira tvagvai bile tasminnavasthitaH ॥ asthizeSobhavatpazcAcchilAdo munisattamaH ॥ 21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतुष्टः प्रभुस्तदा तस्मै दर्शयामास स्वां तनुम् ॥ दिव्यां दिव्यगुणैर्युक्तामलभ्यां वामबुद्धिभिः ॥ २२॥
The delighted lord showed him his divine body endowed with all divine qualities and inaccessible to people of crooked intellect.
english translation
tuSTaH prabhustadA tasmai darzayAmAsa svAM tanum ॥ divyAM divyaguNairyuktAmalabhyAM vAmabuddhibhiH ॥ 22॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिव्यवर्षसहस्रेण तप्यमानाय शूलधृक् ॥ सर्वदेवाधिपस्तस्मै वरदोस्मीत्यभाषत ॥ २३॥
As he continued the penance for a thousand divine years, the trident-bewaring lord of all the spoke to him “I am here, the granter of boons.”
english translation
divyavarSasahasreNa tapyamAnAya zUladhRk ॥ sarvadevAdhipastasmai varadosmItyabhASata ॥ 23॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहासमाधिसंलीनस्स शिलादो महामुनिः ॥ नाशृणोत्तद्गिरं शम्भोर्भक्त्यधीनरतस्य वै॥ २४॥
The great sage Śilāda engrossed in the trance did not hear those words of Śiva who is subservient to the devotees.

mahAsamAdhisaMlInassa zilAdo mahAmuniH ॥ nAzRNottadgiraM zambhorbhaktyadhInaratasya vai॥ 24॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयदा स्पृष्टो मुनिस्तेन करेण त्रिपुरारिणा ॥ तदैव मुनिशार्दूल उत्ससर्ज? तपःक्रमम् ॥ २५॥
Only when the great sage was touched by the slayer of the Tripuras did he leave off his penance.
english translation
yadA spRSTo munistena kareNa tripurAriNA ॥ tadaiva munizArdUla utsasarja? tapaHkramam ॥ 25॥
