सिद्धक्षेत्रे महापुण्ये शिखण्डी नाम पर्वतः ।। शिखण्डिनो वनं वापि यत्र सिद्धनिषेवितम् ।। २१ ।।

In the very sacred holy centre of achievements there is the mountain Śikhaṇḍin, where the forest is resorted to by the Siddhas.

siddhakSetre mahApuNye zikhaNDI nAma parvataH || zikhaNDino vanaM vApi yatra siddhaniSevitam || 21 ||

वाचःश्रवा रुचीकश्च स्यावास्यश्च यतीश्वरः ।। एते पुत्रा भविष्यन्ति तत्रापि च तपोधनाः ।। २२ ।।

These four will be born as the sons, the sages Vācaśśravas, Rucīka, Śyāvāsya and Yatīśvara.

vAcaHzravA rucIkazca syAvAsyazca yatIzvaraH || ete putrA bhaviSyanti tatrApi ca tapodhanAH || 22 ||

एकोनविंशे व्यासस्तु भरद्वाजो महामुनिः ।। तदाप्यहं भविष्यामि जटी माली च नामतः ।। २३ ।।

In the twenty-first century Vyasa became the great sage Bharadwaja Even then I shall be known as Jati and Mali.

ekonaviMze vyAsastu bharadvAjo mahAmuniH || tadApyahaM bhaviSyAmi jaTI mAlI ca nAmataH || 23 ||

हिमवच्छिखरे तत्र पुत्रा मेऽम्बुधिसंहिताः ।। हिरण्यनामा कौशल्यो लोकाक्षी प्रधिमिस्तथा ।। २४ ।।

There on the peak of the Himalayas my sons are gathered in the ocean Kausalya named Hiranya and Pradhimi with eyes like the world.

परिवर्त्ते विंशतिमे भविता व्यास गौतमः ।। तत्राट्टहासनामाहमट्टहासप्रिया नराः ।। २५ ।।

In the twentieth aeon, there will be Vyāsa Gautama. My name will be Aṭṭahāsa. Men are fond of Aṭṭahāsa (loud boisterous laughter).
