अंते च सुखदः प्रोक्तो दयालुत्वान्न संशयः ॥ यथा चैव सुवर्णं च शोधि तं शुद्धतां व्रजेत् ॥ ४१ ॥
Since he is compassionate he is said to be the bestower of happiness ultimately. A gold piece can become pure only when it is put into the fire and purified.
english translation
aMte ca sukhadaH prokto dayAlutvAnna saMzayaH ॥ yathA caiva suvarNaM ca zodhi taM zuddhatAM vrajet ॥ 41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं चैवं मया पूर्वं श्रुतं मुनिमुखात्तथा॥ अतस्तद्भजनेनैव लप्स्येऽहं सुखमुत्तमम् ॥ ४२ ॥
This has been heard by me from the Sage. Hence I shall attain blessed happiness through his worship alone.”
english translation
evaM caivaM mayA pUrvaM zrutaM munimukhAttathA॥ atastadbhajanenaiva lapsye'haM sukhamuttamam ॥ 42 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्येवन्तु विचारं स करोति यावदेव हि ॥ तावच्च सूकरः प्राप्तो बाणसंमोचनावधिः ॥ ४३॥
While he was musing thus, the boar came within the range of his arrow-discharge.
english translation
ityevantu vicAraM sa karoti yAvadeva hi ॥ tAvacca sUkaraH prApto bANasaMmocanAvadhiH ॥ 43॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिवोपि पृष्ठतो लग्नो ह्यायातः शूकरस्य हि ॥ तयोर्मध्ये तदा सोयं दृश्यते शृंगमद्भुतम् ॥ ४४॥
Lord Shiva has also come behind the pig Between the two of them then a wonderful peak appears.
english translation
zivopi pRSThato lagno hyAyAtaH zUkarasya hi ॥ tayormadhye tadA soyaM dRzyate zRMgamadbhutam ॥ 44॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्य प्रोक्तं च माहात्म्यं शिवः शीघ्रतरं गतः॥ अर्जुनस्य च रक्षार्थं शंकरो भक्तव त्सलः ॥ ४५॥
The greatness of him was told and Lord Siva went away at once. Lord Śiva was affectionate to Arjuna like a devotee.

tasya proktaM ca mAhAtmyaM zivaH zIghrataraM gataH॥ arjunasya ca rakSArthaM zaMkaro bhaktava tsalaH ॥ 45॥
