यथोपदिष्टं वेषादि तथा चैवाकरोत्स्वयम् ॥ इन्द्रियाण्यपकृष्यादौ मनसा संस्थितोऽभवत् ॥ ३१॥
He assumed dress and features according to his instructions. He curbed his sense organs and the mind and stood steady.
english translation
yathopadiSTaM veSAdi tathA caivAkarotsvayam ॥ indriyANyapakRSyAdau manasA saMsthito'bhavat ॥ 31॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनश्च पार्थिवं कृत्वा सुन्दरं समसूत्रकम् ॥ तदग्रे प्रणिदध्यौ स तेजोराशिमनुत्तमम् ॥ ३२॥
He made a clay idol of Śiva even and beautiful. In front of it he stood in meditation on the excellent heap of splendour.

punazca pArthivaM kRtvA sundaraM samasUtrakam ॥ tadagre praNidadhyau sa tejorAzimanuttamam ॥ 32॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्रिकालं चैव सुस्नातः पूजनं विविधं तदा ॥ चकारोपासनन्तत्र हरस्य च पुनः पुनः ॥ ३३॥
He took baths thrice a day. He performed various sorts of worship. He performed the Upāsti form of worship of Śiva again and again.

trikAlaM caiva susnAtaH pUjanaM vividhaM tadA ॥ cakAropAsanantatra harasya ca punaH punaH ॥ 33॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्यैव शिरसस्तेजो निस्सृतन्तच्चरास्तदा ॥ दृष्ट्वा भयं समापन्नाः प्रविष्टश्च कदा ह्ययम्॥ ३४॥
Then the effulgence of the moving creatures emanated from his very head Seeing this they were overcome with fear and when did he enter.

tasyaiva zirasastejo nissRtantaccarAstadA ॥ dRSTvA bhayaM samApannAH praviSTazca kadA hyayam॥ 34॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनस्ते च विचार्यैवं कथनीयं बिडौजसे॥ इत्युक्त्वा तु गतास्ते वै शक्रस्यान्तिकमञ्जसा ॥ ३५ ॥
