व्यास उवाच ॥ श्रूयतां वचनं मेद्य पांडवा धर्मबुद्धयः ॥ सत्यमुक्तं तु कृष्णेन मया संसेव्यते शिवः ॥ ५१ ॥
Vyāsa said:— O Pāṇḍavas, of virtuous mind, listen to my words. It has been truly stated by Kṛṣṇa. Śiva is being served by me too.
english translation
भवद्भिः सेव्यतां प्रीत्या सुखं स्यादतुलं सदा ॥ सर्वदुःखं भवत्येव शिवाऽसेवात एव हि ॥ ५२ ॥
Let him be served by you with pleasure. Unequalled happiness shall always follow. It is only by not serving Śiva that miseries crop up.
english translation
॥ नंदीश्वर उवाच ॥ अथ पंचसु तेष्वेव विचार्य्य शिवपूजने ॥ अर्जुनं योग्यमुच्चार्य व्यासो मुनिवरस्तथा ॥ ५३ ॥
Nandīśvara said:— Then, considering the five of them, he worshiped Lord Shiva. Vyasa the great sage also addressed Arjuna with appropriate words

तपःस्थानं विचार्य्यैवं ततस्स मुनिसत्तमः ॥ पाण्डवान्धर्मसन्निष्ठान्पुनरेवाब्रवीदिदम् ॥ ५४ ॥
Then the foremost of the sages considered the place of his austerities He again addressed the Pandavas who were devoted to righteousness.
english translation
॥ व्यास उवाच ॥ श्रूयताम्पाण्डवास्सर्वे कथयामि हितं सदा ॥ शिवं सर्वं परं दृष्ट्वा परं ब्रह्म सताङ्गतिम् ॥ ५५॥
Vyāsa said:— O Pandavas listen to me I am always telling you what is good for you Seeing the Supreme Lord Shiva as the all-pervading Supreme Brahman and the associate of the devotees.
