Shiva Purana
सा गत्वा गहनेऽरण्ये तेपे सुवि मलं तपः ॥ शंकरम्पतिमिच्छन्ती सखीभ्यां संयुता शिवा॥ ३ ॥
Desiring to attain Śiva as her husband, she went to the dense forest and performed a pure penance. She was attended upon by two of her friends.
english translation
sA gatvA gahane'raNye tepe suvi malaM tapaH ॥ zaMkarampatimicchantI sakhIbhyAM saMyutA zivA॥ 3 ॥
