कृताञ्जलिपुटो भूत्वा ततो गुरुरुदारधीः ॥ दण्डवत्कौ पुनर्नत्वा प्रभुं तुष्टाव भक्तितः ॥ २१ ॥
Bṛhaspati of liberal mind kept his palms joined together and prostrated on the ground like a staff and eulogised him with devotion.
english translation
गुरुरुवाच ॥ देवदेव महादेव शरणागतवत्सल ॥ प्रसन्नो भव गौरीश सर्वेश्वर नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ २२ ॥
Bṛhaspati said O great god, lord of the gods, favourably disposed towards those who seek refuge in you, O lord of Gaurī, be pleased. O lord of all, obeisance be to you.
english translation
मायया मोहितास्सर्वे ब्रह्मविष्ण्वादयोपि ते ॥ त्वां न जानन्ति तत्त्वेन जानन्ति त्वदनुग्रहात् ॥ २३ ॥
Even Brahmā, Viṣṇu and others are all deluded by your Māyā. They do not know you really. If at all they know, it is only by your blessings.
english translation
नन्दीश्वर उवाच ॥ बृहस्पतिरिति स्तुत्वा स तदा शंकरम्प्रभुम् ॥ पादयोः पातयामास तस्येशस्य पुरन्दरम् ॥ २४ ॥
Nandīśvara said:— After eulogising lord Śiva, Bṛhaspati made Indra fell at his feet.
english translation
ततस्तात सुराचार्य्यः कृताञ्जलिरुदारधीः ॥ बृहस्पतिरुवाचेदं प्रश्रयावनतः सुधीः॥ २५॥
O dear, then the liberal-minded preceptor of the gods, Bṛhaspati, the intelligent one, bowed humbly and spoke thus.
